mother martin lived alone in a one room house. she was completely blind. she made hammocks out of cotton yarn that she spun from cotton she grew in her yard. she was always so friendly that it was hard to leave her house after a visit. i gave mother martin this photo framed as a going away present, and it was the first picture she had ever owned of herself.
